Judy A. Greene, M.D.

Women's mental Health

Dr. Judy Greene is a board certified Psychiatrist, on the clinical faculty at New York University School of Medicine, with a focus on caring for women with disorders that present during reproductive life transitions. Dr. Greene is a specialist in the following clinical areas:

            Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD)

            Preconception consultations

            Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders

            Postpartum depression

            Perimenopause and menopause

Dr. Greene is the founding Director of Bellevue Hospital’s Women’s Mental Health Program, where she began a fellowship to train psychiatrists in Reproductive Psychiatry. She completed a residency in Psychiatry at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Program in 2006. Dr. Greene received her MD degree from SUNY Downstate and her BA degree from University of Michigan.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Greene is a member of the Greater New York Health Association (GNYHA) Maternal depression Steering Committee, the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry (GAP), and Postpartum Support International.
